Proposed By Laws

We the members of the Boreal Brewers (BB) have come together as a group to promote the hobby of homebrewing in Northern Minnesota, educating the public through community education, hosting exhibitions of homebrewed products through a series of annual tastings, and through publication of a newsletter and webpage.

Article I

Sec. 1
The organization shall be called the Boreal Brewers and the newsletter shall be called the Barley Mow Gazzette.

Sec. 2
Voting members shall include all members who have paid current dues.

Sec. 3
Membership dues are $7.00 per year payable after January first.

Article II

Sec. 1
Boreal Brewers shall meet a minimum of four times each year which may be concurrent with tastings and other official events.

Article III

Sec. 1
The executive committee of BB shall constitute the policy making body of the organization.

Sec. 2
The executive committee shall include the president, past president, vice-president, secretary/treasurer, historian/librarian, brewmaster, and newsletter editor.

Sec. 3
The executive committee shall be elected for a one-year term at the first meeting after August each year.

Sec. 4
Duties of the executive committee shall include:


A. To meet at any time as called by the president. These meetings to begin at 7:00 p.m.
B. Implementing policies and actions reflecting resolutions passed at the meetings of BB.

Article IV

Sec. 1
This constitution can be amended by a two-thirds majority of those members present at a meeting of the Boreal Brewers.
